MUNCIPAL TAX LEVIES

Village of Harrod

Renewal - Current Operating Levy - 5.0 mills - 5 years

The Village of Harrod is requesting a renewal of their current operating levy for five years, for current operating expenses pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 5705.03 (B).  This levy, if renewed, will provide about $18,810  per year and will be on the tax duplicate for tax year 2012 with collections beginning in 2013.  The total tax valuation of the subdivision used in calculating the estimated property tax revenue is $4,013,570.  Since this is a renewal levy, this will not increase the taxes of the residents if all values stay the same.

SCHOOL TAX LEVIES

Allen East Local School District

Renewal - Emergency Levy – 2.92 mills – 5 years

Allen East Local School District is requesting a renewal of an existing emergency levy for five years, to provide for emergency requirements pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 5705.194-5705-197.   This levy, if renewed, will direct the county auditor to certify the millage necessary to produce $330,000 per year and will be on the tax duplicate for tax year 2012 with collections beginning in 2013.  The total tax valuation of the subdivision used in calculating the estimated property tax revenue is $110,272,270.

Bath Local School District

New – Bond Levy – Average of 5.34 mills - 37 years

Bath Local School District is requesting a bond levy for new construction pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 5705.03(B).  The total principal amount is $25,100,000 with an interest rate of 4.40%, which will be repaid over 37 years.  This levy, if approved, will be on the tax duplicate for tax year 2012 with collections beginning in 2013.  The total tax valuation of the subdivision used in calculating the estimated property tax revenue is $232,941,850.  The school will follow a debt service schedule that will calculate equal annual bond and interest payments.  The estimated bond and principal payment due for the first year will be approximately $1,649,022.  Since this is a new levy, it will increase the taxes of the residents and it does not qualify for the personal property tax reimbursement.

Delphos Local School District

Renewal – Current Expense Levy - 5.5 mills - 5 years

Delphos Local School District is requesting a renewal of an existing current expense levy for five years, for current operating expenses purposes pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 5705.03 (B).  This levy, if renewed, will provide about $733,952 per year and will be on the tax duplicate for tax year 2012 with collections beginning in 2013.  The total tax valuation of the subdivision used in calculating the estimated property tax revenue is $168,538,610.  Since this is a renewal levy, it will not increase the taxes of the residents if all values stay the same.

Lima Local School District

New – Permanent Improvement Levy - 5.99 mills - 5 years

Lima Local School District is requesting a new permanent improvement/current expense levy for five years, for current expense purposes pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 5705.03 (B).  This new additional levy, if passed, will provide about $1,848,475 per year and will be on the tax duplicate for tax year 2012 with collections beginning in 2013.  The total tax valuation of the subdivision used in calculating the estimated property tax revenue is $308,593,520.  Since this is a new levy, it will increase the taxes of the residents.
