Election Worker Information

Every Election Day, thousands of Ohioans contribute to their communities by helping to operate polling places. Election workers find their experience rewarding and return to serve year after year.

Ohio needs more election workers. If you choose to work at a poll, you will receive training and be paid for your time.

To be a poll worker in Ohio, you must meet the following requirements:
  • You must be at least 17 years of age and a  registered voter.
  • You must be registered to vote in the county you plan to work as a poll worker.
  • You have not been convicted of a felony (unless the conviction has been reversed, expunged or pardoned).
If you are interested in becoming an election worker, download and complete the form below, contact the board of elections office, or email us at pollworkers@allencountyohio.com for more information.

The next school of instruction date for new workers is April 14, 2010 at 7pm. Call now to reserve your spot.

Check out our Newsletter for refresher points, training dates, and new information.
