Clerk of Courts

The Ohio Clerk of Courts Association believes that taxpayers are people with individual concerns that Clerks of the Court of Common Pleas and their staffs collectively strive to assist with compassion, efficiency and dispatch.

Gina C. Staley-Burley, Clerk of Courts

Gina C. Staley-Burley began her first term as the Allen County Clerk of the Common Pleas Court on January 3, 2005. The youngest of Russell and Winifred Staley's six children, she is a Jackson Township resident graduating from Allen East High School in 1982. Gina also graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has attended the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, received further certification from the Ohio State University and a Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University in 1992. She and her husband, Todd, have 3 children, Dylan, Abigail, and Madilyn, attending Allen East Local Schools where Gina and Todd are active participants in school activities.

Gina was Allen County's first female Assistant County Prosecutor. She was the head of the Juvenile Division of the Allen County Prosecutor's Office from 1992-1997 and responsible for the prosecution of juveniles for delinquency offenses ranging from misdemeanors to felonies. Gina was an assistant in the Civil Division of the Allen County Prosecutor's office from 1997 until taking office as the Clerk of Courts and handled all the real estate tax foreclosure cases on behalf of the Allen County Treasurer. She was also a resource for legal questions that arose in the Treasurers office and filed answers for the Clerk of Courts office when they were required. Ms. Staley-Burley also was a civil practice attorney from 1992 until she took office as the Clerk of Courts. She was a partner in the firm of Bowers, DeMeo and Staley-Burley until 2001, when she became an associate with Samuel W. Diller Co. L.P.A. Her areas of private practice were Real Estate, Probate, Contracts and Domestic Relations.

Gina serves on the Allen County Court Security Board, the Allen County Data Processing Board and the Allen County Records Commission. She is a member of the Ohio Clerk of Courts Association, the Allen East Moms and Dads Club and the County Line Church of the Brethren.
