Clerk of Courts

Margie J. Miller took office on August 9, 2010 as the Allen County Clerk of Courts. With over 19 years of experience working with the Allen County Common Pleas Court, the transition into the office will go smoothly.

Margie graduated from Northwestern Business College and went to work in the private sector for two years as a legal assistant for a local law firm.  In 1991, she became a Receptionist with the Allen County Common Pleas Court.  Four years thereafter, Margie took the position of Bailiff/Administrative Assistant and Assistant Court Reporter. 

Margie is married to Gary L. Miller and is a resident of Bath Township.  She has a son and four step-children.

Margie is a volunteer with the Northwest Literacy Council.  And per the Ohio Revised Code, the Clerk of Courts is required to serve on the Court Security Committee, Data Processing Board and Records Commission.  The Clerk also serves County Policy Committee and the Ohio Clerk of Courts Association.
