The Court maintains a number of records as required by law. A listing of many of those is found at O.R.C. 2101.12. A list of the primary records is as follows:

1. Birth & death records 1867 - 1908
2. Marriages 1831 - Present
3. Estates 1835 - Present
4. Others Contact Court

Many of the records are available in either "original" form or micro-film or microfiche. Some records are also available by computer, including indexes and dockets of guardianships back to 1970, and estates back to 1985. While most of the records are public, adoptions and civil commitments generally are not and require specific court approval for access.
